PRAYER TIMINGS

Importance of Salah in Islam

In Islam, prayer (Ṣalāh) is a fundamental act of worship that connects a Muslim directly with Allah. Performing the five daily prayers at their prescribed times strengthens faith, brings inner peace, and instills discipline. Prayer reminds believers of their purpose and keeps them mindful of Allah throughout the day.

About Us

Jamia Masjid Babu Zulfiqar

Recently completed and lovingly named Masjid Babu Zulfiqar in honor of Babu Zulfiqar Bhutta, the father of our founding member Dr. Ibrar Zulfiqar Bhutta, this masjid serves the members of ACNA and the surrounding communities. We were blessed to establish this masjid during his lifetime so that he could visit and see it himself. Although he lives in Pakistan, he comes to Mahopac every summer, spends time in the masjid, and shares in its spiritual life with his family and the community.

Masjid Babu Zulfiqar is a non-sectarian mosque where all are welcome. Five daily prayers and Jumu‘ah (Friday) prayer are now held regularly throughout the year.

Our permanent Imam, Mufti Imamuddin Khan Saeedi Misbahi, has joined us and serves as Imam and Director of Religious Affairs and Education. He leads the five daily prayers and Jumu‘ah and oversees our educational programs for adults and children, as well as all masjid and khanqah activities.
